Rules for shrinking the IPv6

·       Addresses are written in groups of 4 hex digits, separated by a single colon: 2001:0db8:0000:0000:0021:0000:4ab9:0300

·       One or more groups of zeroes can be replaced by two colons.
The address above becomes:
2001:0db8::0021:0000:4ab9:0300

·       Only one group of zeroes can be replaced with double colons.
However, leading zeroes in a group can also be omitted.
The address above becomes:
2001:db8::21:0:4ab9:300
